Dream Team Profile

2013 Digest:   After an up and down 2012, in which he was dropped for poor form, he was voted the Suns' best perfomer at their Arizona training camp. Has returned in a great frame of mind and the club hopes it translates into performance.

2013 NAB Cup:   Reinvigorated after a spell of off-season basketball. Important that he is at his best.

3 Bris Bounced back with a sensational game against his old side. 8
4 Port Built on his return to form the previous week with another solid showing. 6
5 GWS Appeared to be reluctant to kick with natural left foot. Scully countered him. 4
6 Frem Did some good things and won a share of the ball. 5
7 Melb Won plenty of ball and given acres of space. Concussed by Sylvia hit in third term. 7
8 WB Stepped up when Smith went down and kept Minson in check. 6
9 Haw Had to take a turn in ruck. Showed spark and effort early but hurt knee late. 4
10   Knee.
11 NEAFL Strong game as an inside midfielder.
12 NEAFL Superb last quarter after a solid first three terms.
13 NEAFL Bye.
14 NEAFL Among best again. Must be elevated soon.
15 Bris Late inclusion. Repaid the faith with three goals and should keep his place. 7
16 Rich Drifted in and out of the game – as is his wont. Just one tackle. 4
17 Coll Made his possessions count with three goals from eight kicks as a permanent forward. 5
18 Carl Slipped back into his old ways and couldn't find his rhythm. 3
19 NEAFL Bye.
20 NEAFL Starred with six goals to be best afield.
21 NEAFL Soldiered on and even rucked second half.
22 StK Matched on Gilbert, did a couple of nice thing but too quiet apart from that. 4
23 GWS A bit wasteful with scoring opportunities to blot his copybook. 5

2012 Season

Played for : Gold Coast

1 Adel Provided good rebound from 50, despite some glaring mistakes. 7
2 StK Laconic style looked ordinary with disposal. Can set a better example. 4
3 Ess Kicked the first goal of the match before being dispatched to defence. 4
4 Bris Used as defensive tall but lowered colours to Cornelius. Stint on Brown. 5
5 NM Shocker. Team-high 24 possessions marred by nine costly clangers. 2
6 Frem Battled on manfully in defence with knee injury. 6
7 GWS Useful around the clearances just didn’t do enough to get himself the ball. 4
8 NEAFL Struggled. Well short of what the coach was looking for.
10 NEAFL Improved effort but a long way from what is required.
11 StK Had a flat second quarter but overall served the side well 6
12 NM Competed well in his milestone match. 5
14 WCE Didn’t have an impact. Barely seen when it mattered. 3
15 Geel Caused all sorts of problems up forward early but faded later. 6
16 Rich Contributed little for much of the day and was only slightly better late. 3
17 Bris Gave away two silly fifty metres which proved costly. 4
18 Syd Had a fair bit of the footy but was a bit wasteful. 4
19 Melb Is he interested? Might have been in second half but certainly not the first. 5
20 GWS Very quiet night, didn’t seem suited as a second ruckman. 3
21 Haw Disappointing lack of impact. 3
22 NEAFL Injured ankle and didn’t finish the match.
