8 NM Looked short of a gallop and puffing hard early. In attack which showed he is still readjusting. Two smart goals. Thigh twinge late. 5

14 NEAFL Good early in midfield, then rested in attack. 19 possessions, six clearances.
15 Melb Back from injury and was caught a few times without being penalised. A steadying influence however. 7
16 GCS 20 disposals for the veteran starting off the pine, can still have a presence. 6
17 GWS BOG to half time with 15 disposals and did not miss a beat. His composure is a massive asset down back and will be pivotal come September. 7
18 StK Veteran was active across half back in first half. Knitted backline together and generalled troops. 7
19 Haw Kicked a vital major early in the last and had a solid night with 21 disposals. 7
20 Geel Veteran used the ball with poised when he got it – 18 of his 21 disposals hit the target. 7
21 Frem Always a calming influence with the ball in hand. 100 percent efficiency by foot and even kicked a rare goal. 7
22 Adel Rarely wastes a possession and didn’t waste his opportunity to hurt the Crows on the scoreboard. 7
23 Carl Didn’t see a lot of the ball but controlled the back half and was a cool head when the heat was on. 6
EF Ess Gave some lip to the Bombers as the side squashed the opposition. Gathered 21 touches and used them all well. 7
SF Geel So old he was alive when the Dead Sea was just sick..but didn’t stop him in game 300. Tried hard; 13 effective disposals. 5

2016 Season

4 Adel First game back after lengthy pre-season, will be better for the run. 4
5 WCE Chipped in for two important goals in third term which gave Swans the break. 5
6 Bris In the thick of it early but only two disposals after half time. 5
7 Ess Best game for the season with ball use out of defence a highlight. 6
8 Rich Roamed the back half with solid effect but wasn’t his best night out. 5
9 Haw Worked consistently and solidly in the back half. 5
10 NM Up and down first half but became prime mover in second half at half back. Two goals. 7
11 GCS Mopped up across half back and provided good rebound. 7
12 GWS Started in backline and worked his way into the midfield. OK without starring. 5
13 Melb Played a superb goalkeeping role at half-back. One of the best wet-weather players going around. 8
15 WB Finished the game strongly and almost got his side over the line. 6
16 Geel Did what was required from the back half and did it with poise. 5

2015 Season

2 Port First game for the year, hasn’t missed a beat. 7
3 GWS Doesn’t play bad games (2014 GF an exception). Won a lot of ball. 8
4 Frem A four-quarter player. The Swans lacked those. 7
5 WB Veteran didn’t rack up numbers but laid 11 tackles so work-rate good. 6
6 Melb Ten first-quarter touches set to on path to victory. Six inside-50s. 7
7 Geel Celebrated game 250 with typical polished performance. Doesn’t play bad games. 7
8 Haw Proved the match-winner when forward late for two goals and a goal assist. 7
9 Carl Not his best game but chimed in when required to do so. Subbed out. 5
10 GCS Enjoyed getting plenty of the footy roaming half forward and half back. 7
11 NM Superb with his play reading and poise, particularly late in the game. 8
13 Rich Swept across half back well at stages and continued to urge Swans on. 6

2014 Season

1 GWS Closely marked by Palmer early but was still productive. 6
2 Coll Found a fair bit of the ball, but unable to have his usual influence. 6
3 Adel Mr Consistency always bobs up when the Swans need him. 6
4 NM Did his best to rally the troops in defence and middle, but lacked help. 6
5 Frem Roaming the ground, the skipper got better as the game wore on. 7
6 Melb Whatever he did brought others into the play. Steady throughout. 7
7 Bris Set the standard with 14 touches in opening term. Partied. 8
8 Haw Found a lot of footy at half back – crucial goal midway through final term. 8
9 Ess Kicked two long range set shot goals early to set the tone. Another good night. 7
11 Geel Even performance down back or pushing up field. Clean hands a highlight. 7
12 GCS Started forward again before rolling up into the middle. Playing a great team role. 7
13 Port Kicked two fantastic goals in his new role at half forward. Strong effort. 7
14 Rich Very quiet early, but instrumental in team’s lift after half time. 6
15 GWS So consistent, the co-captain would have taught opponent Treloar some tricks. 6
16 WCE Showed Masten a clean pair of heels and tackling pressure was superb. 7

QF Frem Composed game. Did some important things when it mattered. 6
PF NM Shut down to a degree by the Roos but others got on top. 4
GF Haw Five disposals to half time a disaster. Hard to believe he could play so poorly. 2

2013 Season

1 GWS His run and link play was a factor. As were his 11 contested possessions. 7
2 GCS Lifted his side whenever it was needed in a best-on-ground performance. 9
3 NM Terrific game in terms of leadership and menace when pushing forward. 8
4 Geel Busy performance highlighted by 13 cont poss, 6 clearances and 3 goals. 7
5 StK Didn’t enjoy Jones’s attention but still played a quality game. 7
6 Bris Had Adcock for company and ran him into the ground. In super nick. 7
7 Haw Went to Puopolo for a period and nullified him. OK but not a starring role. 6
8 Frem Used in a defensive role, he was right at home, registering nine rebound 50s. 7
9 Coll Half back on Elliott. Seemed to cop a knock to the leg early but kept going. 6
10 Ess Set up and created beautifully from half back. 8
11 Adel Tailed by Petrenko early as he went to HFF to shake tag. Then ticked over well. 6
13 Port Forced to play deep in defence and not comfortable on the last line. 7
14 Carl Got plenty of his touches in the back half to help steady the ship after half time. 6
15 Melb Found space all over field and among best with seven inside-50s and a goal. 7
16 GWS Given far too much room to move and orchestrated play off half back. Superb. 8
17 WCE Endless running off half back and got plenty of it. 8
18 Rich Restricted to some extent by Ellis but still chipped in. 5
19 WB Not permitted to get things own way early but then lifted to play fine game. 7
20 Coll Led the way in defence and through the middle to be Sydney's best ball user. 8

2012 Season

1 GWS Helped set tone with nine first-term possessions. Ended with 22. 6
2 Frem Worked exceptionally hard and won plenty of ball, especially in first half. 7
3 Port Played a lesser role in the midfield with 19 possessions. 6
4 NM A brilliant opening quarter and then consistently won the ball in packs. 6
5 Haw Matched up on Sewell and had 25 touches in strong display. 7
6 Adel Was one of the Swans’ hardest workers, especially in the final quarter. 6
7 Rich Slow start but battled hard in the midfield and finished with 20 touches. 5
8 Melb Quieter than most Swan midfielders but marshalled his side well. 6
9 StK St Kilda used Jones to try to quell him, but was still a constant force. 7
10 WB McVeigh is leading the side well in Goodes' absence. 5
11 Ess Had important job on Stanton and did it well. 7
