2 NEAFL Pressed claims for senior recall with four goals after injury-interrupted pre-season.
3 StK Back in the team and kicked two goals. Did some good things and marked well on occasions. 5
4 Rich Gave the Lions a useful forward target and he should have finished with more than one goal. 5
5 WB Moved well at times and grabbed four marks but didn’t hit scoreboard and had just six effective disposals. 3
6 Port Booted one goal but struggled to get into the swing of things. 2
7 Syd Kicked two goals and got better as the game wore on. Got some reward for work but missed a couple of shots too. 5
8 Haw One to forget. Went where the ball ain’t in the second half and made no impact whatsoever. Leading patterns were poor. 2
9 NEAFL Barely sighted until bobbing up to kicking the winning goal.

12 NEAFL Just the six possessions after signing contract extension. Held goalless.
13 NEAFL Booted five goals and took 10 marks in landslide win. A step in right direction form-wise.
14 NEAFL Kicked two goals but played fourth fiddle to fellow Lion talls.
15 NEAFL Started well, but drifted from the game a touch after the main break. Two goals.
16 NEAFL Back to top four with five goals. Marked the ball well on the lead.
17 Rich Booted two goals and took some nice marks. Played with a bit of confidence on return. 5
18 Carl Possibly the only Lion not to really shine at some stage. Still learning the game. 4
19 WCE Kicked one goal. Flashed in and out. 4
20 WB Looked out of sorts. Half of his six disposals were ineffective. Out of form? 3
21 NEAFL Kicked a couple of goals and took some nice marks. Okay without starring.
22 NEAFL Just four touches, buit did convert two of them into goals. Where is he at?

1 WCE A beautiful set shot and kicked two goals. Not as good a field kick. 4
2 NM Radar was off but showed some promising signs. 4
3 Geel Great experience for the kid who was thrown up field late in game. Modest stats but finding feet. 3
4 GCS Contested strongly. Better than stats may suggest. 6
5 WB Quiet night but took one good grab on the wing and booted a goal. Delivery didn’t help. 3
6   Senior emergency.  
7 Port Taught a footballing lesson by Hombsch, will learn from it. 3
8 Coll Rookie who floundered but wasn’t given many opportunities in attack. 4
9 Melb Kid needs a rest. Could not get near it up forward. One mark, two kicks. 1
10 Haw Presented well in attack with eight marks and finished with 2.2. 5
11 Carl Got on the score sheet with a late goal but well beaten by Weitering. 4
12 Frem Booted two goals from very limited chances. 3
13 WCE Used up a lot of energy providing leads and finished with two goals. 5
14 Rich Marked well early with Rance his opponent then drifted in and out. Good for his development. 5
16 GCS Well held by May and managed just the one goal. 3
17 GWS Similar to Hipwood in that he presented well. Two goals from five kicks, fair return. 5
18 Ess Led up well and took a few nice marks but was goalless despite the Lions booting 20 majors. 5
