2 NEAFL Had the ball on a string in new role in defence. Looks to be taking to it very well.
3   Didn’t play for Brisbane reserves.  
4 NEAFL Best game he has played in new role down back. 20 touches and 10 marks.
5 NEAFL Nice game down back and really looks at home in his new position. 29 touches and drifted forward for a goal.
6   Senior emergency.  
7 NEAFL One of the few Brisbane defenders that held his own. Took nine marks and floated forward for a goal.
8 Haw Played back for three quarters, then used in the ruck and up forward in the fourth term. Wasn’t horrible in any area. 4
9 Adel Dropped a regulation chest mark which gifted the Crows a goal. Slotted a goal in final term but couldn’t mask sub-par effort. 4
10 NEAFL Controlled the back half in the air with 12 marks. Very good.
11   Bye.  
12 NEAFL Booted two goals – including the matchwinner and took 10 marks. Had a big impact all day.
13 NEAFL 21 possessions and 12 marks. Influential throughout.
14 NEAFL Did as he pleased down back to press for a senior recall as a tall defender.
15 Ess Coming back from NEAFL was troubled by tempo early. Looked happier in defence with big third term. 6
16 Geel Sustained an ankle injury in the opening minutes and never bothered the statisticians. 2
17 Rich Used forward with stints in the ruck. Took some good marks and kicked a nice snap goal. 5
18 Carl Stunning first half, both in attack and as the back-up ruckman. Not as dominant in second half but overall a solid effort. 7
19 WCE Played on Darling. Got better as the game went. 4
20 WB One of his best games this year. He took some solid marks and had a presence. Can he do it a more consistent basis though? 6
21 GCS Took a big grab, bagged a couple of goals and even performed well in the ruck. 6
22 Melb Plucked a few nice marks but not many close to goal. Only major came late in the game from a turnover. 6
23 NM Battled along in different roles including a run in the ruck. 4

2016 Season

1 WCE He’ll be good for Brisbane. Kicked two goals. Another target. 5
2 NM Made his presence felt up forward and took eight marks. 5
3 Geel Former Cat restricted to three marks and six kicks by Taylor. Failed to kick a goal. 2
4 GCS Gutsy effort. Took up main ruck duties after half time. 7
5 WB One goal but forced into coming up the ground and even into the ruck to get involved. 3
6 Syd Got four of his eight disposals in last term. Too little too late. 4
7 Port Had his first shot on goal with 10 minutes to go, it didn’t make the distance. 2
8 Coll One ineffective kick until half time. Four for the game which included two goals. Needs to do more. 5
9 NEAFL Struggled to get into the game in attack, but supply wasn’t great.
10   Converted well in attack to finish with five goals. Did recall hopes no harm.  
11 NEAFL Went into ruck when Smith went off and competed hard for 27 hit-outs.
12 NEAFL Kicked one goal and gave a target as well as spending time in ruck.
13 WCE Four goals (two in junk time) elevated his worth. 6
14 Rich Didn’t take first mark until third term but kicked a clever goal and had a dip. 4
16 NEAFL Constant threat in front half with four goals. Doing all he can.
17 NEAFL Hit most of his targets by foot and was a real presence around the ground.
18 Ess Made the most of when he had the footy with four goals from a handful of kicks. 6
19 Port Didn’t waste his few opportunities and contributed two goals. 5
20 Adel Eight hit-outs but no impact up forward against Talia. 3
21 Carl Costly turnover directly resulted in a Carlton goal. Finished with a goal of his own. 4
22 Geel Well beaten by Taylor. Only goal was from the goalsquare after horror Cat error. 3
23 StK Marked strongly in attack and gave Saints problems with three goals. 6

2015 Season

3 GCS Four goals in a tight game proved a more than handy contribution. 7
4 NM Subbed out after failing to impact. Should be given more chances. 1
5 Rich Bobbed up for two goals and made nuisance of himself up forward. 6
6 VFL Held to two goals by Marsh but took six marks.
7 Syd One mark and no goals not going to cut it for a tall forward. 2
8 VFL Played a lone hand in attack at times. Two goals.
9 VFL Booted two goals but only took two marks.
10 Ess Battled hard in ruck but struggled when forward. Still finding his feet. 3
11 Port Struggled to get into game but OK late when thrown into the ruck. 4
12 Melb Hammered in the ruck and offered little apart from one goal up forward. 2
15 NM Two goals but failed to provide a consistent target up forward. 4
16 WB Grabbed eight marks (three contested) and a goal. Provided a contest. 5
17 GWS Struggled to get into the game up forward. Three marks and subbed out. 2
18 Bris Produced career-high five-goal performance to upstage Hawkins. 8
19 Syd Grundy had his number pretty much all night. Five marks but not dangerous. 2
20 Haw Missed two critical shots at goal in final term and only four marks. 2
21 StK Despite youngster Goddard standing him he couldn’t get into the game at all. 2
22 Coll Coach had seen enough five minutes into third term and subbed him out. 1
23 Adel Sub. Provided a spark with three second-half goals. Future uncertain? 4

2014 Season

1 PM Kicked two goals then switched to defence.
2 PM Kicked three goals and played in defence and the ruck.
3 VFL Kicked four goals and provided a strong target in attack.
4 VFL Led the way up front again with three important goals.
5 VFL Manned up by Lake and got the better of him. Four goals.
6 Port Two goals from four kicks then subbed out late in third term. 4
7 VFL Just the one goal in attack.
8 VFL Bye.
9 VFL Two goals and tried hard but not his day.
10 VFL No real impact on the game. Only one goal.
11 VFL Bye.
12 Carl Late replacement. One goal but generally a non factor inside forward 50. 3
13 StK Second banana behind Hawkins contributed three goals from five marks. 6
14 GCS Wouldn’t want to see the tape again. Made meal of limited opportunities. 1
15 VFL Rotated through the ruck and up forward. Fair.
16 VFL Kicked a goal but struggled to get into the game.
17 VFL Deployed down back and battled through injury.
18 VFL Impressed in new role in defence. Read play well.

13 VFL Competed strongly and crashed a few packs.
14 VFL Kicked five goals in a welcome return to form up front.
15 VFL Marked and presented well, but goalkicking was wayward.
16 VFL Bye.
17 VFL Kicked a goal and presented hard in tough conditions.
18 VFL Kicked six goals and did all his damage early.
19 VFL Super workrate up forward and rewarded with two goals.
20 Port Injured wrist early but returned to play out match. One goal and five marks. 4
21 WCE Competed well playing CHF. Stats not huge but played a part. 4

QF Frem Surprise late inclusion and didn’t grab opportunity. Played nervous footy. 1

2 VFL Marked strongly all day and should have kicked 6-7 goals.
3 VFL Along with Brown, got the Cats over the line up forward.
4 VFL OK up forward alongside Brown.
5 VFL Kicked four goals playing second fiddle to Brown.
6 VFL Quiet game up forward compared with previous weeks.
8 VFL Presented well up front but lacked a bit of support.
10 VFL Good start but influence waned a touch after half time.
11 VFL Goalless but competed well and created a few goals.
13 VFL Backed up Stephenson and played forward. OK.
14 VFL OK up forward but struggled when asked to ruck.
15 VFL Kicked five goals and used his size to advantage.
16 Coll Debutant’s workrate stood out but he missed three set shots. Four marks. 3
17 Ess Copped a few knocks but kept persisting. Disposal needs work. 3
18 Adel Laid six tackles which is great for a player of 196cm. Played a small role. 3
19 Haw Used as second ruckman and apart from a goal in third term was quiet. 3
20 WCE Found going tough in the ruck given size difference. One goal late. 2
21 StK Battled hard but might be due to return to VFL after a taste of senior action. 2
22 WB Second ruckman didn’t get involved much. Might be due to head back to VFL. 4
23 VFL Struggled to make an impact up forward.
EF VFL Goalless but provided a decent target up front.
SF VFL One goal and competed hard in the forward half.
PF VFL Competed hard up forward but lacked a bit of poise in front of goal.
