2013 Digest:   The big man had a solid if unremarkable year in 2012. The style of the game today doesn’t necessarily suit a player of his type, but he can still provide a big target up forward where his contested marking is a feature. Looking fit and sharp.

1 Port Started well with strong marking, but chances limited after that. 5
2 GCS Couple of strong marks and also forced ball to ground for crumbers. 5
3 WB Marked strongly and had presence up forward. 5
4 Frem Outmarked Dawson and always gave Saints a target with three goals. 7
6 Haw Five goals to almost single-handedly keep Saints in game to three-quarter time. 8
7 Carl In good touch with strong hands and accurate kicking for goal. 6
8 WCE Couple of nice marks but quiet overall. 4
9 Syd Struggled to get rhythm into his game early and plodded behind Grundy. 4
