2017 Season

1
2
3 GCS Serviceable in defence and never gave up. Needed more support from senior leaders. 6
4 Geel Good battle with Taylor and okay in that role. Made a few mistakes in heat of battle but all good experience. 4
5 WCE Made some timely spoils and helped keep the Eagles at bay for much of the night. 6
6 StK Took Riewoldt when the Saint was deep. Tried hard but was under siege for much of the day. Took 10 marks. 5
7   Senior emergency.
8   Senior emergency.
9   Ill.
10 Syd Started on Reid, then mixed and matched when the Swan went off. 5
11 Port Battled away in defence. Not the worst but certainly didn’t have a huge impact. All good experience at this point of his career. 4
12 GCS Had to try and take Lynch and that was a difficult task made tougher after sustaining injury early in game. 3
13   Bye.
14 Adel Stood tall in defence and handled the much heralded Crows forward line easily. 6
15 Coll Took Cox and had a few troubles with his height at times. Great experience from emerging defender. 7
16 GWS Eight one percenters. However Hawks defenders had their hands full with Patton in red hot form. 5
17 Geel Started on Hawkins then at times had to go to Dangerfield. Strong effort defensively. 5
18 Frem Did a job in defence. Fremantle struggled to score goals. 5
19 Syd Strong performance in the backline with 18 disposals and 6 marks. 7
20 Rich Didn’t have a tall match-up to take and was a little at sea playing against smaller options. Handful of effective possessions. 3
21 NM Beaten early by Brown, but solid down back with his disposal, and continues to get better. 5
22 Carl Broke even with Casboult in a great old fashioned big man battle. Coming along nicely as a big key defender. 6
23 WB Full back didn’t have a genuine four-quarter match-up. Not a big impact on the flow of the contest in either phase. 3
