4 VFL Battled hard down back but still looks a tad rusty after 24 months out of the game.
5 VFL Spent time rotating through the ruck and was handy enough with 10 hitouts.
6 VFL Did his job playing in the backline. Didn’t collect a lot of the footy, still finding his feet after long suspension.
7 VFL Battled away but missed a couple of chances to put scoreboard pressure on Blues.
8 VFL Tried hard down back but was under pressure for long periods.
9 VFL Did some okay things and built back into a touch of form.

11 VFL Played in attack and was okay in patches. Kicked 1.1.
12 VFL Used in attack and in the ruck. Competed strongly and provided a solid target in the air.

14 VFL Played his part in the win over the Borough with two goals.
15 VFL Used in attack and was a good target for much of the game. Booted two goals.
16 VFL Not a massive day but did some okay things.
17 VFL Utility started in the forward line and didn't do much, but provided some straight line run and carry when moved back.
18 VFL Provided a good contest up forward but didn't find much space. Managed 14 disposals and a goal.
19 VFL Worked his way up the ground and made an impact with five inside 50s.
20 VFL Didn’t get a lot of the ball in attack but kicked two handy goals.
21 VFL Was a handful in attack with his height. 17 possessions, nine marks and two goals.
22 VFL Provided a target in attack. Kicked two goals and took some fine marks.
23 VFL Just the one goal from 11 touches. Tried hard, but not his day.

1 PM Struggled early but came into the game as it wore on.

3 Geel Took Brown to the cleaners until the Cat was subbed out. 7
4 Rich Steady effort in defence opposed to Vickery. 6
5 NM Obliterated Petrie in a key win for the team. Great one-on-one. 7
6 Ess Had Carlisle’s measure in a key defensive win for his team. 8
7 Carl Couldn’t prevent Casboult marking early then tightened up. 5
9 Adel Jenkins booted three on him and moved to Podsiadly briefly then forward. 3
10 VFL Competed strongly down back to keep Cats talls in check.
11 StK Had the better of Stanley in defence and produced a solid game. 6
12 Melb Battled Gawn for a lot of the day and was good in that role. Showed some poise. 6
13 WB Had a go. The Dog tall forwards were good though. 6
14 Haw Appeared hesitant with ball in hand at times. Good matched up on Hale. 6
15 Carl Made a few blues down back but kept working to keep Henderson in check. 6
16 GCS Had his hands full all night with Dixon and Lynch. 4
17 VFL Good tussle with Daw in Werribee forward half. Even effort.
18 Adel Kept Podsiadly to three marks and one goal in a solid defensive effort. 6
19 Port Cut off numerous Power thrusts and did well on Westhoff. 7
20 WCE Lycett kicked four on him and offered little offensively. Form tapering slightly. 4
21 Bris Hands full all night down back on Merrett (three goals). Not his night. 3
22 GWS Kept Stewart under wraps down back. 5
23 Haw Plugged away down back but got swamped. Hardly sighted offensively. 2

19 Ess Had the wood over any opponent that came his way. Pressure upfield helped. 6
20 Syd Fine job when switched to Tippett, although tide running the other way by then. 5
21 Haw Found Franklin far too agile and quick on the lead and dropped off too often. 3
22 WCE Had Cox/Lycett/Darling and did what he had to do with a level of poise. 6
23 NM Battled Tarrant then went to Petrie when Brown went off. Battled away. 5

1 Haw Good defending Hale and while stats not big he made few mistakes. 4
2 Rich Young defender did well on Miller, whose three goals were flattering. 5
3 Carl Excellent defensive game. One of few positives for the Pies. 7
4 Port Great in back half. A positive over opening four rounds and getting better. 7
5 Ess Proving one of the finds of the year. Had Ryder covered. 7
6 WB Great again. Gets better every time you see him. Balanced and strong. 7
7 Bris OK playing forward. 4
8 Geel A few errors this week but held up his end. 4
9 Adel Suffered a year-ending knee injury after working hard to control Tippett. 4
