2017 Season

1 GWS Had the better of Toby Greene who started lively in the opening quarter. 6
2 Haw Moved off Rioli early then went back to him at times. Got better when the side started to get on top. Jagged late goal. 4
3 Port Excellent job on Chad Wingard despite conceding two goals. 7
4 Ess Rarely has his colours lowered, but did this game with McDonald-Tipungwuti slotting four goals. 5
5 GCS Solid as ever in defence and even managed to sneak forward and jag a goal. 6
6 Rich Rebounded magnificently after conceding two goals to Rioli in the first term, and stopped a certain third in the final minute. 6
7 NM Had hands full in back half and never able to get rebound game flowing. 4
8 Melb Battled hard in defence but too many costly turnovers in defence. 4
9 Bris Basked in the Crows dominance after quarter time to collect 17 disposals. 6
10 Frem Did the job on Stephen Hill and played his part in a great Adelaide defensive performance. 6
11 Geel Struggled defensively and offensively. Real nothing sort of game from the dour defender. 3

16 WB When off early with a suspected knee injury but returned to continue the dominance of the Crows back six defenders. 6
17 Melb Took the dangerous Garlett. Kept him in check and provided good cover for other defenders. 7
18 Geel Defended superbly when he had to and even found time to push forward for a rare sausage roll. 6
19 Coll Kept the mercurial Alex Fasolo goalless. 6
20 Port Didn’t really have an opponent to stop and zoned well to give his defensive teammates an outlet. 6
21 Ess Played his role as usual and was steady all the way. 5
22 Syd Did a great job to restrict Papley to one goal. 6
23 WCE Solid effort against LeCras despite not winning much of the ball. 5
QF GWS Doesn’t get the plaudits, but able to complete most roles assigned to him – including on Greene. Did it again. 7
PF Geel Dour defender did what the coach asked and was able to nullify the Cats’ forwards. 5
GF Rich First four touches were turnovers and looked as nervous as a mobster in the tax office. Copped injury in second term. 3

2016 Season

1 NM Thomas gave him all sorts of trouble early then he tightened up. 3
2 Port Did the job on the mercurial Wingard. 7
3 Rich Steady effort in the back half. Got a bit of the ball too which aided Crows’ rebound. 5
4 Syd Started slowly against McGlynn but rebounded after quarter time. 6
5 Haw Back pocket scored a rare late goal that appeared to make Crows safe. 5
6 Frem Eight rebound-50s, four tackles and two scoring assists. 7
7 WB Battled away down back and played his role quite well. Hit targets with the ball in hand. 6
8 Geel Struggled to curb the brilliance of Motlop. 4
9 GCS Looked to hurt his ankle late after a fairly good game. 5
10 GWS Played well between the 50-metre arcs. 6
11 StK No direct match-up left him as the plus-one in defence. 6
12 WCE Alternated with Cheney on LeCras and shut him down. 6
14 NM Underwhelming but still contributing to team defence. 5
15 Melb Defensively superb at times. Doesn’t get plaudits, just does his job. 6

2015 Season

1 NM Left the game in the third term with a corked thigh. 4
2 Coll Blanketed the dangerous Elliott with a gritty and disciplined display. 7
3 Melb Pushed forward for a crucial goal in third term against the breeze. 5
4 WB Picked up midfielders resting in attack. 4
5 Port Had his hands full with the creativity of Wingard. 4
6 GCS Kept Hall fairly quiet down back and got a bit of ball on rebound. 6
7 StK Playing his role in the back six. 5
8 GWS Had trouble with Greene when the Giant rested forward. 4
9 Frem Played his role in the back six. 5
10 Carl Took Menzel and did a solid job keeping him from getting dangerous. 6
12 Haw Quiet game from the back pocket dynamo. 5
13 Bris Started on Robinson who made an impact early. OK. 5
15 WCE Good on Cripps until the floodgates opened. 5
16 Port Had the impossible task to try and contain Wingard, and was good. 6
17 GCS Continues his find form as part of the defensive back six. 6
18 Syd Purely negative role on Heeney and kept him out of it. 5
19 Rich Had the unenviable task on Martin when he rested forward. 5
20 Ess Defensively stout and pushed up the ground to get involved when he could. 6
21 Bris Went off with what looked like a serious foot injury but returned to play well. 6
22 WCE Played his part stifling the Eagles’ forward entries. 5
23 Geel Quiet. Copped a heavy hit to the head in a marking contest. 3
EF WB On the dangerous Dickson and while handy lowered colours. 3
SF Haw Had a number of match-ups. Not a big impact. 4

2014 Season

1 Geel Went to Bartel at times and OK in nullifying him. Played a steady game. 6
2 Port Struggled with the Port Adelaide half forwards all afternoon. 4
3 Syd Won his fair share of footy across half back. 5
4 StK Well and truly had Templeton’s measure. 6
5 GWS Solid game in the back half. 5
6 WB Got the better of Giansiracusa but neither played a major part. 6
7 Melb Struggling with consistency. 4
9 Coll Nullified small forward Jamie Elliott. 7
10 Carl On a variety of opponents and kept battling without setting game alight. 5
11 GCS Kept Matera down to one goal and was solid with ball in hand. 6
12 Frem Lined up on Ballantyne who had no impact at all. 5
13 NM Had the tough job on Thomas and conceded four goals. 4
14 Ess Tried hard but Winderlich clearly got the better of him. 3
15 Port Started slowly on R.Gray but redeemed himself after quarter time. 6
16 GWS On Smith and did a fair job. 5
17 Haw Kept Breust in check but contributed other costly turnovers. 5
18 Coll Took Elliott (one goal) for the most part and did a fine job quelling him. 7
19 WCE Kept LeCras to one goal. 6
20 Bris Didn’t get a lot of the ball (four touches) despite the side’s dominance. 3
21 Rich Defensively sound but needs to make better decisions with the footy. 4

1 Ess Did all right in a few contests but injured foot in third term and subbed out. 3
2 Bris Worked into the match well and contributed well in second half. 6
3 Port Needs to produce a more consistent effort to consolidate his spot. 4
4 WB Had the job running with the speedy Dahlhaus and shut him down. 6
5 Carl Struggled on Carlton’s small forwards. Didn’t return after half-time. Concussed. 2
6 Haw Improving with each performance and finished the game without injury. 5
7 GWS Chimed in for his share of the action. 5
8 StK Low key game. 4
9 NM Had to be moved off Thomas early in game. Quiet. 2
10 Frem Had the job on Ballantyne and restricted the goal sneak to one goal. 6

1 SANFL Good return to footy after a facial injury pre-season.
2 SANFL 19 possessions and three valuable goals for Norwood.
3 SANFL Had 12 touches and five inside 50s for Norwood.
5 SANFL Solid game with 17 touches for the Redlegs.
6 SANFL Had 18 possessions for Norwood.
7 SANFL 19 possessions in Norwood’s Friday night win.
8 SANFL Collected 16 possessions for Norwood.
10 SANFL Best for Norwood. Close to earning an AFL debut.
11 SANFL OK in defence for the ‘Legs. 13 touches.
