2017 Season

3   Senior emergency.
4 VFL A star in the back half in win over Coburg. Marshalled the troops and won his own ball.

6 Geel Had to man the bigger Hawkins and did a wonderful job to keep the big Cat to one goal and five kicks. 8
7 Carl Solid presence in defence but very little influence on the game. 3
8 GWS Big body the right match-up for Patton. Long kicking out of defence an asset. 4
9 Haw Burly presence helped in defence. Proving there’s still a place for a strong body (and long boot). 6
10 Bris Had job on a number of Lions and did that reasonably well. Didn’t make mistakes but wasn’t a star. 6
11 Frem Composed in defence. Did his job. 5
12 Melb Former Demon tried his backside off to lift team. Copped huge hit in final term while going back with flight of ball. 7
13   Bye.
14 Port Had to take the bigger Dixon and despite being outsized he kept battling. Not a huge impact. 4

17 GCS Good battle with Lynch, nullifying his aerial presence and restricting his influence. 5

19 Adel Great job on Taylor Walker keeping him to one goal. 7
20 NM Got given a bath by Brown before the Roo went off in the second term. Always adventurous when kicking out of defence. 3
21 Port Did a great job keeping the much bigger Charlie Dixon to one goal. 6
22 Geel Had the better of Taylor but offered very little to the effort offensively; nine effective touches. 5
23 Melb Stood Hogan until the Dee got injured. Then roamed the back half and was steady. 6
