2 NEAFL Mopped up well sweeping around the back half.
3 NEAFL Helped keep the Thunder at bay down back with six rebounds. One of the better performers.
4   Senior emergency.  
5 NEAFL Excellent outing with 30 possessions and 11 marks. Drove the ball inside-50s five times as well.
6 NEAFL Bye.
7 Syd Back in team at half back/wing. Won the ball well – especially in first half, but lacked a bit of polish. 6
8 Haw Most of his kicks were just banged onto his boot. Spent time on the wing but no positive effects. 3
9 Adel Exerted a lot of energy in defence and yet finished with only 13 diposals. 4
10 Coll Started forward but struggled and moved back. Hard to recall too many of his 14 possessions. 4

12 Frem Came off the bench early in the game to make his presence felt in defence. 6
13 Port Battled manfully in defence but couldn’t stop Aaron Young from pinch hitting two goals. 5
14 NEAFL Swept across half back to play a handy role.

18 NEAFL Strong performance off the half back line with 20 disposals. Used it well all day.
19 NEAFL Worked his way into the game pretty well. Exposed a fair times defensively but his running and link up play impressed. 38 disposals.

2016 Season

1 WCE Another big defender who had it tough. The Eagles forwards had too much space. 3

7 Port Late call-up for the injured Merrett, was serviceable on a wing. 5
8 Coll Totally out-sized in a key defensive role when he had to mind Grundy and Cox. 4
9 NEAFL Named best for the Lions in big defeat. Had 27 touches roaming across half back.
10 NEAFL Mopped up well across the middle of the ground and provided great drive

12 NEAFL Superb floating across half back with 35 possessions to be the Lions’ best.
13 WCE Battled hard in defence and did well against Hutchings and Giles. 5
14 NEAFL Mopped up well in the back half but needs to win more of his own ball.

2015 Season

1 Coll Collected more disposals than some mids. Rebounded well out of defence. 6
2 NM Steady defender without starring. 4
3 Rich Started in defence but ended match in attack. Best work in backline. 5
4 WCE Third highest team stats but some of his defensive work and kicking ordinary. 6
5 GCS Got plenty of the footy and provided good rebound. 5
6 Carl Fine job defending at half back in first half. Injured in third and subbed off. 6
7 Port Has grown in defence. Took on Westhoff and won. 7
8 Ess Worked hard and consistently down back. 6
9 StK Found lacking foot speed at times. Too loose in defence. 5
10 GWS Sat a kick behind play to add defensive support and took some good marks. 7
12 WB Ran well out of defence on occasions. 4
13 Adel Arguably, the Lions best defender on the night. 6
14 Frem Used down back and was freed up behind ball a bit. Minimal impact. 4
15 Syd Won plenty of ball from defence and did what he could to stem the flow. 7
16 Melb Under siege down back. Won a lot of footy but has to work on his decision making 6
17 NM Didn’t muck around clearing the ball out of defence. Had 13 kick-ins. 5
18 Geel OK at times in defence but made a few mistakes too. 5

21 Adel Played as the plus one and was good, looks to have the right spot for him. 6

2014 Season

1 Haw Birchall was his man and he won a stack of footy. Will learn a bit. 3
2 Geel Youngster found slippery conditions tough to get a kick and had no influence. 2
3 GCS Provided a bit of a spark with two goals. 6
4 Port Working hard around the ground without getting the results. 4
5 Rich Made some bad handling errors, looked mostly out of his depth. 2
6 StK No impact. 3
7 Syd Came under notice with back-to-back goals in third term. 6
8 Ess Probably best game to date and Bombers had trouble controlling him. 7
9 NM Much quieter than previous week. 3
11 Carl Initially matched on Thomas and had a lot of the ball. 6
12 WB Subbed out in last term. Kicked a goal and covered some ground. 4
13 GWS A lot of touches early and although he tapered was one of better Lions. 6
14 Frem Couldn’t get his hands on it. 2
15 NM Even game although he did start on Gibson, possibly North’s best player. 5
16 Rich Loose on Ellis and moved. Lots of disposals in spots that weren’t dangerous. 4
17 WCE Subbed in third term. Limited opportunities. 3
18 NEAFL Rebounded well from senior omission to find a lot of ball.
19 NEAFL Played at half back and gave good drive.
20 Adel Subbed in at half time and acquitted himself well. 6
21 Coll Sub. On to join the party in final term but touched it only four times. 1

2013 Season

1 NEAFL Quiet game for the most part.
2 NEAFL More prominent than last week. Kicked a goal.
3 NEAFL Played wing and forward. First-class game with 28 disposals.
4 NM Impressive debut with three goals after starting as sub. 6
5 Melb Kicked a smart goal and got to some good spots. Encouraging. 5
6 Syd Quiet game when followed by Rampe. 3
7 NEAFL Bye.
8 NEAFL Quiet first half, worked his way into the game.
9 NEAFL Kicked three goals and was among the Lions’ best.
10 Coll Looked raw early but kept trying and marked well. 4
