2017 Season

1 WB Ruckwork has improved, and looked more use there (against Boyd at least) than up forward. 4
3   Knee.
4 VFL Did well in the ruck with 34 hitouts, but also kicked a goal – from a 50m penalty. Solid.
5 Ess Off the bench interchanging with Moore, and looked the bigger threat of the pair. Might keep his spot on that display. 4
6 Geel Big man provided a target both forward and in the ruck. Got a great capacity to drop a mark. 4
7 Carl Ruckwork OK but hardly the conditions for his type. Improved when the ball dried in second half. 3
8 VFL Imposing in attack with four goals from eight marks.
9   Senior emergency.
10   Senior emergency.
11 VFL Played solely in attack and provided a marking option to end with three goals.
12 VFL Booted two goals and marked well in first half. Then rested for Queens Birthday … just in case.
13   Bye.
14 VFL Huge effort and proved the difference. Five goals, 15 marks and 24 hitouts.
15 Haw Two marks for two goals in opening half and added another in third. Six kicks for the game. 5
16 Ess One goal but was not a factor up forward or in the ruck. Looked cumbersome at times. 2
17 VFL Presented well as a forward all day and played in ruck a fair bit. Not surprise he dominates hitouts with his height.
18 VFL One of the Pies' best. Dominate ruck performance with 47 hitouts and was a presence up forward. Strong marking as well.
19 VFL Toiled well in the ruck with 30 hitouts and 15 disposals. Would be a surprise if he doesn't play seniors before end of season.
20 VFL Excellent in the ruck. 23 touches, 10 marks, 27 hitouts and two goals.
21 Port More than held his own against the best tap ruckman in the league Paddy Ryder in the absence of the suspended Brodie Grundy. 7
22 Geel Big Cox jagged two first-term goals but then drifted out of the game. Five disposals after quarter time. 3
23 Melb Started in the ruck and spent time forward. Two goals in second half were important. Pies need to keep him. 6

2016 Season

5 Ess Snagged first goal of game in fairytale start. Competed well all match. 5
6 WCE Had a crack. Kicked two goals, laid a great smother and took big marks. 6
7 Carl Played forward and in ruck and unable to have any real impact. 2
8 Bris Bagged four goals from eight kicks before hand injury. Star is definitely on the rise. 7
9 Geel Sent crowd into a frenzy when he kicked sealer on the run. Two goals. 4
10 WB Not a big factor early and his involvements were modest. 3
11 Port Kicked two first-half goals and took some good marks late up the ground. 5
12 Melb Early mark and goal then couldn’t get near it opposed to T McDonald. 3
14 Frem Big bloke took some nice marks “down the line” and kicked two goals. 5
15 Carl Poor night. Looked lost at times and failed to have a possession in first half. 2
16   Managed.
17   Managed.
18 VFL Bye.
19 VFL Kicked two goals in first outing in a few weeks. OK without starring.
20 Rich Two first-quarter goals then not sighted at all from that point. Struggled. 3
21   Shoulder.
22 VFL Kicked one goal and did some ruck work in support of Witts. Fair.
23 VFL Combined well in ruck with Witts. 29 hit-outs, six marks and a goal.
