2017 Season

1 Melb Usual high workrate but he missed set shots that he would have normally gobbled up which was disappointing. 4
2 WCE Booted two goals and was unlucky to have another overturned on review. 6
3 Bris Ended with two goals, but missed a few other chances. Attacked the ball with vigour throughout through in forward half. 7
4 Coll Another to fight hard inside the mid-forward contests with seven tackles and 20 hard-earned touches. 6
5 Geel Handy without setting the world on fire. Four tackles, four inside-50s and one goal. 5
6 Haw Big numbers across half forward and drifting into midfield. Six inside-50s and seven marks. 7
7   Ankle.  
8 Carl Quiet on return but still managed to provide some much needed grunt late in the contest. 4
9 Syd Hurt his foot early but came back on. Honest without being penetrative. 4
10 WB No questioning his effort but at the moment he is going up and down on the spot. 4

12 Adel Could have been a reasonable night in front of goals but missed his two set shots in the third term. 5
13 NM Still working to get back to his best but this game was an improvement. 5
14 GCS Continued to miss simple set shots and it is an ongoing problem despite his workrate. 3
15 Frem One of his quieter games. Lots of handballs in his 15 disposals and lacks polish in front of sticks. 4
16   Didn’t play for Sandringham.  
17 VFL His pressure was good with eight tackles but just a so-so game with 17 disposals.
18 VFL Impressed with 26 disposals and two goals.
19 Port Wasn’t a factor on a night that would be expected to suit him. 3
20 WCE Big hearted but has looked to be carrying injury all year which reduces his edge. 3
21 Melb Did a few good things, but didn’t hurt Melbourne much. 4
22 NM Tried hard and looked to move a bit more freely than in recent times. 4
23 Rich Poor year ended poorly with another effort filled with errors playing forward and back. Where’s he at? 3

2016 Season

1 Port Two goals, six clearances and six tackles before turning his attention to Robbie Gray. 6
2 WB Went to Murphy and stuck to task but wasn’t able to curb his influence. 5
3 Coll Three superb set shot goals proved critical and capped off a strong performance at half forward. 7
4 Haw Played role again as a defensive forward with spurts in midfield. One goal and had seven tackles. 6
5 GWS After prominent few weeks had a quiet one. 3
6 Melb Competitive and tenacious game on forward line. 6
7 NM Tenacity in attack was always to the fore. Handy effort. 5
8 WCE Wholehearted battler who kicked St Kilda’s best goal of the game. 4
9 Ess Ball didn’t fall his way down forward and although he tried hard, he didn’t fire. 4
10 Frem Did bustling and pressuring job in attack and was involved in many attack thrusts. 6
11 Adel Wasn’t daunted by the overwhelming Adelaide advantage and kept working. 4
12 Carl Fierce and aggressive in contests. Wrung every ounce out of himself. 5
14 Geel Right at home and tight hard contest and had real presence in attack. 7
15 GCS Gritty and wholehearted, but also one of the main inaccuracy offenders with 1.4. 5
16 Ess Struggled for much of the day but lifted and snagged crucial goal. 4
17 Melb Fierce at every contest and could easily have kicked five goals instead of his three. 6
18 WB Overcame heavy knock early and starred with strength and desire in attack. 8
19 NM Showed good touch in attack with marking, but like others needed to hit scoreboard. 5
20 Carl Got the Saints rolling early and a force all game in attack. 7
21 Syd Pugnacious game as usual in attack. 5
22 Rich Determined game in attack on Short and always hit the contest hard. 5
23 Bris Hard at the contest and busy for four quarters in attack. 6

2015 Season

1 GWS Excellent running role with Griffen and quelled him. 7
2 GCS Went to Rischitelli second term and crucially contained him. 6
3 Coll Tagging roles against Pendlebury and Swan. Had trouble quelling them. 3
4   Calf.  
5 Ess Had major role on Watson and stuck to task. 4
6 WB Wasn’t his best outing but kept plugging away and doing team things. 5
7 Adel Had the run-with role on Dangerfield and was effective. 7
8 WCE Good job in tagging dangerous LeCras. 6
9 Bris Given a number of tagging roles and had to work. Back-to-back goals late. 5
10   Suspended.  
11 Melb Tagged Jones after first quarter and found it hard, but stuck to task. 5
13 WB As defensive forward made Murphy work hard, but disposal efficiency down. 5
14 Ess Played defensive forward role in attack and spent time on ball. 5
15 GWS Strong worker in the packs and around the ground. 6
16 Rich Terrific game with breakaway pace and bagged three goals. 7
17 Melb Quieter day this week but still chipped in. 4
18 Port Tried hard but not significant in overall context of the game. 4
19 Frem Quieter game this week. 4
20 NM Hard and combative in attack, but like others missed chances. 5
21 Geel Fierce in forward half contests. 5
22 Syd Tried hard but couldn’t get a foothold in the game. 3
23 WCE Tried hard to bustle in packs. 4

2014 Season

1 PM Outstanding in midfield. Hard at the contest.
2 PM Used in the middle and had a strong presence in all contests.
3 VFL Did a good job in a defensive role on Kitchin to play his part.
4 VFL Tagged Ross and then Hallahan and did a might job.
5 VFL Simply amazing. 39 touches and three goals despite tagging Liam Anthony.
6 VFL Tagged well by McKenzie but laid a team-high 11 tackles.
7 Haw Not the worst in his debut for the Saints. Strong bodied type who had a go. 5
8 Carl Sub on just before three quarter time. Had a few touches. 1
9 GCS Physical strength makes him worth persevering with. 4
11 Coll Flattened at opening bounce and subbed out with concussion. 0
12 Port A lot of work in close and mostly used handball. 4
13 Geel Cantankerous duel with Selwood but at least had a dip. 4
14 WCE Strong, competitive game. Missed two set shots late that would have helped. 6
15 Rich Again demonstrated good work-rate and bustled in packs. 5
16 Carl Had important job on Gibbs and did it well. 5
17 NM Tagged Cunnington and did a good job. 6
18 Frem Big job on Fyfe and did it well for three quarters. 6
19 GCS Combative tagging role on Prestia and couldn’t quell him. 3
20 WB Did a reasonable job of tagging dangerous Griffin. 5
21 Syd Did a reasonable job of tagging Hannebery. 5
22 Rich Handed tagging role on Cotchin and OK at times. 5
23 Adel Had run-with jobs and wasn’t a big factor. 4

2013 Season

1 NEAFL Played alongside his brother for first time. Copped a shoulder knock.

8 NEAFL Super at stoppages, extracted a lot of football.
9 NEAFL Played with AFL intensity. Typically bullocking.

11 NEAFL Sensational at the contest but needed to finish his work.
12 NEAFL Terrific, very good balance of winning in and outside footy.
13 NEAFL Bye.
14 Adel OK performance in first senior match for the season. 4
15 NEAFL Played first half as senior emergency and did OK.
16 NEAFL So tough in tight, very good once again.
17 Coll Ran hard from defence, just needs to keep his composure when in possession. 4
18 Carl One of his better efforts for the year. 5
19 NEAFL Bye.
20 NEAFL Classy display through midfield, won a lot of hard ball.
21 NEAFL Up against it all day, but fought on gallantly.

23 GWS Easily his best game for the club; looked confident and took the game on. 7

2012 Season

Played for : Gold Coast

1 NEAFL Kicked a goal and played his role well.
2 StK Tried hard for 15 possessions (seven contested). Did OK given scoreline. 4
3 Ess Found it hard to work into the match. 3
4 NEAFL Responded nicely with a strong display through the midfield.
5 NM Finished well with eight touches but had no impact when it mattered. 2
6 Frem Showing some positive signs. Using the ball better. 4
7 NEAFL Need to be better than how he is playing at present.
8 NEAFL Good all day and was bullocking in the midfield.
10 NEAFL One of the Suns better performers in loss to Swans.
11 NEAFL Excellent job tagging Ezra Poyas.
12 NEAFL Seemed to do an OK job defensively.
14 NEAFL Kicked four goals in a mid-field match-up with Illett.
15 Geel Hardly sighted opening half and trend continued. Made one horror mistake. 3
16 Rich Nahas got away from him after half time. 3
17 Bris Still lacks a bit of confidence, but is developing OK. 4
18 Syd Tried hard, but made a couple of poor decisions with the footy. 4
19 Melb Late inclusion buzzed around for a few disposals; not a four-quarter player. 4
20 GWS Gives supporters palpitations when he gets the footy, but effort is there. 4
21 Haw Worked hard to pick up plenty of the ball in first half before taping. 5
22 Carl Another mixed bag. Although more good than bad this game. 4
