2017 Digest:   Big lump of a kid who is very raw and had a brief involvement in early JLT games. Long term project.

2017 Season

1 WAFL Used his frame to advantage in the ruck to control the hitouts. Good showing.
2 WAFL Did well again in the ruck with 35 hitouts. Got a bit of the ball too.
3 WAFL Rucked and rested in attack. Did some good things, but forward craft is still a work in progress.
4 WAFL Unable to get his hands on the ball aside from the ruck contests, then injured.
5 WAFL Bye.
6 WAFL Used mostly in attack and was just fair, but ruckwork was pretty good overall.
7 WAFL Had 25 hitouts and was handy in the ruck, but still a work in progress around the ground.
8 WAFL Booted four goals and showed good craft in attack. Also had 31 hitouts in the ruck.
9 WAFL Kicked two goals and provided strong ruck relief for Griffin.
10   Senior emergency.  
11 WAFL Impressive effort in the ruck against Subi. 49 hitouts and laid six tackles.
12 WAFL Controlled the ruck against South Freo with 42 hitouts and five clearances.
13   Bye.  
14 Geel First-gamer was enormous. Effort faded as you'd expect but he thrashed Stanley; 14 disposals. 6
15 StK Terrific in his second game when he took over when Sandilands broke down. Won 33 hit outs and kicked one goal. 7
16 NM Had Goldstein’s measure early on, then the Roo slowly wore him down. Okay. 5
17 WCE Held his own in the ruck. 5
18 Haw Fantastic. His tackling is brutal and his ruckwork is classy. One of Freo’s best. 7
19 GWS As the game went on, he built confidence and you can see little moments where he is coming out of his shell. 5
20   Rested.  
21 Syd Love his second and third efforts after the initial ruck contest. Getting better each week. 6
22 Rich Was aggressive and rucked well. Gave his players plenty of the ball. 5
23   Suspended.
