2012 Digest:   Fringe player looking to make the step to regular senior member. Played 13 games last year and was emergency in the finals after being dropped following Round 22. With Johnson currently out injured the former Demon will get a chance in the NAB Cup off half back, but come the home and away season he will be fighting Clarke, Shaw, O’Brien, Maxwell, Toovey and Johnson for a place. Good depth player.

1 VFL Poor game. Only four touches to half time. –
2 VFL Disappointing day. Needs to be better. –
3 VFL Broke the lines and used his pace to advantage. –
4 Port Mixed good with the bad in usual frustrating pattern. Some nice kicking. 5
5 Ess There when he was needed without setting game alight. 5
6 WB Had plenty of the ball but penchant for glaring mistake still haunts him. 6
7 Bris Had the better of Polec and held his own. Kicking long but not always good. 5
8 Geel Subbed on in third term. Got some touches, usual mix of good and not-so. 2
9 Adel Did well mopping up across half back, rebounded the footy instinctively. 6
10 GCS Kicked a nice goal and handy playing mostly between the 50 arcs. 7
11 Melb Played a role down back and didn’t make any obvious mistakes. 5
13 WCE Won enough of the ball on a wing but didn’t always choose best options. 5
14 Frem Key to his effort was ball use which was best of the year. Kicked a great goal. 7
15 Carl Cost side a goal with one horror kicking turnover. Kept battling. 4
16 Geel Subbed out after four disposals with an injury. 1
17 VFL Did some good things but not his best game. –
18 GWS Started on the bench and had a very quiet night. 2
21 VFL Ran hard and tried to break the lines. 24 touches. –
22 VFL Just the 12 touches and beaten badly by Warren. –
