2014 Digest:   Former Hawthorn premiership defender who struggled a touch in his first year here. Played a variety of roles but expected to settle back in defence. In much better condition than he was 12 months ago, aside from a slight ankle injury he picked up two weeks ago.

2014 NAB Cup:   No senior appearances but did well at reserves level at the weekend. Giants need his experience.

1	Syd	Struggled on Pyke at times and made mistakes. Got better late..	6
2	Port	Kneed in head early. Not all that noticeable before being subbed off.	3
3	StK	In defence was under steady bombardment. On young Lee	4
4	Melb	Had to give away height and kilos down back and had trouble.	4
5		Didn’t play for UWS Giants.
6	Ess	A good contributor deep in defence. Spoiled well and added experience.	6
7	Adel	Had a reasonable share of the ball but overpowered by Crow talls.	4
8	Haw	Broke even on Gunston.	5
9	WCE	One of his better performances since joining the Giants.	6

11	Geel	Battled Podsiadly who caused him some problems at times.	4
12	NEAFL	Did a pretty serviceable job in defence. Solid throughout.	–

14	NM	Had Tarrant most of the time and kept him pretty well under wraps.	5

3	VFL	Got through the game unscathed. OK game.	–

9	Rich	Not a factor. Will improve but needs to as club battles quality forwards.	2
11	VFL	Beaten by Jones and seemed to ‘switch off’ at times.	–
12	VFL	Restricted Gumbleton but had a bit of support.	–

16	WB	Late inclusion did what he had which wasn’t much, particularly after half time.	4
