6 Adel Received a lucky 50m penalty in the third term but shanked his kick and missed everything. 2
7 VFL Okay in the back half but had lots to do at times. Steady effort.
8 VFL Tried hard defensively but wasn’t a masisve factor going the other way.
9 VFL Tried hard but couldn’t get into the game at all.
10 VFL Worked hard throughout to have an impact on the game.

13 VFL The surprise packet in attack booting four important goals to help get Tigers over the line.
14 VFL Handy enough until being shot by a sniper and leaving field with hamstring issue.

2016 Season

Played for : Richmond

1 Carl Just a handful of touches and wasn’t ever a factor. Faces fight for spot in best 22. 1
2   Played in VFL trial against Essendon.  
3 VFL Had it 14 times and was a handy contributor. Still very limited though.
4 VFL Laid four tackles and had a dip in the back half.
5 Melb Garlett kicked four goals on him and he looked panicked at times. Back to the VFL? 2
6 Port Had a bit of the ball in first half but defensively lost stages. 3
7 Haw Started on Sicily. Defended well but neither had a big influence. 5
8 Syd Honest toiler in back half and put head over the ball, which earned a few frees. 5
9 Frem Took a gutsy mark and then kicked the goal. Did a good job. 6
10 Ess Good game. Looked gone a few weeks ago but has hit back. Provided some spark from defence. 6
11 NM Serious knee injury waylaid him. 1

2015 Season

1 Carl Sacrificed own game to be a negating forward on Yarran. 5
2 WB Started forward then shifted to defence to mind Dahlhaus. 3
3 Bris Minded Green with effect. 5
4 Melb Moved back to combat Dees small forwards but had a tough night on Garlett. 4
5 Geel Gave usual effort but again didn’t touch ball enough to be a factor. 4
6 NM Injured elbow late in first term but returned. Bobbed up occasionally. 4
7 Coll Forward pressure made Pies defenders look shaky at times. 6
8 Port Had the chance to hurt Port on the scoreboard and didn’t. 4
9 Ess Played effective shutdown role on Dempsey and was tough at the contest. 5
10 Frem Worked hard as defensive forward and did some good things. 5
12 WCE Minimal impact on a number of opponents. 4
13 VFL Ineffective in forward role that he’s struggled with in seniors.
14 VFL Worked hard and laid some good tackles to keep ball in.
15 Carl Ran with Yarran everywhere and had his measure. 6
16   Senior emergency. 6
17   Returned to defence and laid 10 tackles. Handy effort.  
18 VFL Didn’t do enough to warrant a senior recall.

20 GCS Tigerish effort at half back playing on Martin until he got injured. Stout. 6
21 Coll Shut down Elliott when given task on him. In career-best form. 7

2014 Season

Played for : Richmond

1 GCS Did what we expect him to do – attacked the ball and man hard. Gave his all. 6
2 Carl Lined up on Garlett and kept the Blue quiet. 6
3 WB Good job on Dahlhaus and was one of better Tiger performers. 6
4 Coll Can never accuse him of not giving 100% but he had a quiet night. 4
5 Bris Not a big game. 3
6 Haw Started on Gunston and didn’t do much. 4
7 Geel Made some blues but never stopped trying. Did well to nullify Varcoe. 6
9 Melb Defended well. Had six tackles and seven possessions. Kept pressure on. 5
10 GWS Used as a defensive forward on Shaw and did a decent job but had no attacking input. 4
11 Ess Used as a defensive player up forward and later down back. Struggled. 2
12 NM Was set for Thomas but he was a late withdrawal. One goal about only highlight. 3
13 Frem Didn’t play Ballantyne well and paid a five-goal price on the Docker livewire. 2
14 Syd Matched on Lloyd at start. OK without being exceptional. 4
15 StK Effective defender on Billings and also won the ball himself. 6
16   Suspended.  
17 Port Made some poor decisions with ball in hand and had a quiet day. 3
18 WCE Took LeCras and kept him to a goal which was a win for his team. 6
19   Hand.  
20 Ess Battled Colyer/Chapman among others. Little offensively but OK other way. 3
21 Adel Did the job on Betts despite his two goals. 6
22 StK Went with Schneider and neither had a big say in the game. 4
23 Syd Helped keep Cunningham, Rohan and the rest of the speedy Swans in check. 5
EF Port Under pump down back and failed to impact offensively. 3

2013 Season

Played for : Richmond

1 Carl Betts kicked an early one on him but he then took control of the match up. 6
2 StK Stuck to Milne (one goal) pretty tightly all night in another disciplined effort. 7
3 WB Kamikaze-type attack on the ball and man at half back. Kept Dahlhaus quiet. 6
4 Coll Had some real trouble with Elliott and beaten on the day. 3
5   Suspended.  
6 Geel Battled Motlop and did a great job keeping him out of the contest. 6
7 Port Rebounded out of the defensive 50 on five occasions. 5
8 Melb Only knows one way – straight ahead. Went to Davey and OK on him. 6
9 Ess Not a good night. Failed to provide drive and didn’t lay a tackle. 3
10 WCE Wore Le Cras (eight disp) like a glove. 8
12 Adel Took Callinan to the cleaners for most of the day. Did the one-percenters. 5
13 WB Attacked the ball and man with gusto as always. Kept Dahlhaus out of the game. 6
14 StK Purely negating role. 3
15 NM Had Harvey early but moved forward in second half to man up Atley. Two goals. 7
16 GCS Good physical battle with Brown kept everyone on their toes. Didn’t give an inch. 6
17 Frem Had Walters and battled hard but found the Docker too slippery at times. 4
18 Syd B. Jack got away from him a few times early. 3
19 Haw Had Rioli most of the day and gave him a real bath. Disciplined effort. 8
20 Bris Always found a target coming out of defence by foot. 6
21 Carl Held both Yarran and Betts and could hold his head high. 6
22 GWS Rarely beaten and even pressed forward to get in on the goalkicking act. 6
23 Ess Shadowed Davey and didn’t give him much room to move. Another strong effort. 7
EF Carl Had Betts for most of the afternoon but he got off the chain as Blues got back into it. 4

1 Carl Quick learning experience as he picked up Betts then Judd. Nice smother. 5
2 Coll Put his head over the ball but Fasolo got away from him in third quarter 5
3 Melb Speed and intensity a factor when near the footy. Getting better every day. 6
4 Geel Did a fine job keeping Johnson goalless and ran off when he could. 7
5 WCE Attacked man and footy with vigour. Possession tally not huge but OK. 5
6 Port Mature age rookie looks at home in the big league. 7
7 Syd Provided a strong contest and ran hard out of defence. 6
8 Ess Spirited tussle with Jetta. 3
9 Haw Quelled Rioli and found time to kick great goal. Fine effort from a future star. 7
10 StK Milne troubled him early but he stuck to his guns. 7
11 Frem Highlight of the day his battle with Ballantyne. Attack on footy first class. 6
14 Adel Returned to the side with vigour and energy running through halfback. 5
15 Melb Injured shoulder in second term but returned to play a role. Played with dash. 6
16 GCS Competed gamely down back and rebounded well on occasions. 5
17 NM Workrate good highlighted by his willingness to run and create. 7
18 Carl Hurt shoulder in third quarter. Spent most of time on Betts 4
19 Bris Didn’t have to do much but played his role down back. 4
20 WB Real goer who was superb one-on-one and ran his tail off. 7
21 Frem Had a couple of jobs. Did okay under pressure. 4
22 Ess Solid game on Monfries. 5
23 Port Plugged away in defence playing on the Eberts at times. Battled away. 5
