5 Syd Two first-quarter goals to help the side off to a flying start. 6

1 WCE Kicked two goals but had to push into defence at times to get a kick. 5
2 NM Out-pointed by Thompson. Drifted far too far downfield to find the footy. 3
3 Rich Covered ground and played type of game coach wants. Quieter second half. 6
4 GWS Got the better of young Plowman to play a big role in the Dogs win. 8
5 Carl White tracked him at the start. Covered plenty of ground. Four goals. 6
6 Adel Just the one goal and wasn’t a big factor in attack. 4
7 Ess Well beaten by Hurley. Took just one mark. 3
8 Melb Four goals including two in final term that pushed side over the line. 7
10 GCS Kept goalless by May and struggled to get himself into the game. 3
11 Frem Kicked a miracle goal but his 21 disposals barely hurt Freo. 5
12 Bris Matched up by Gardiner and was rotating with Grant. Just the one goal. 5
13 Coll Kicked 1.2 but didn’t do much with the ball other than that. 4

15 Melb Booted a couple but looked restricted in his movement most of the day. 4

20 StK Gilbert was initial match-up. Worked hard and slipped Saints defenders. 6

2013 Season

1 Adel Only a limited impact. Hobbling at one stage and subbed off in third term. 7
2 Melb Six goals, looked dangerous from the opening minutes. 8
3 Frem Three goals in low-scoring game was a good return. 6
4   Knee.  
5 Coll Kicked two goals but looked a bit underdone at times. 5
6 GWS A big second-half where he kicked 4.3 and helped turn the tide. Moved well. 7
7 Geel Couldn’t break free enough to be a factor. 3
8 Bris Kicked two goals but Patfull generally had his measure most of the day. 5
9 Rich Kicked three and provided a dangerous target deep in forward line. 6
10 Syd Snagged two goals out of nothing in first half but Rampe did OK. 4
11 Carl White matched up on him. Lifted in third term. 6
12 GCS Quiet early but came into the game in second half when opponent was wounded. 6
14 WCE Started on Glass but hurt ankle in third quarter. 3

1 NM Kicked 0.5 in night that could have been very costly. 5
2 Port Kicked three goals from 15 touches and that was key in fashioning victory. 6
3 GCS Kicked four goals and was the main forward target all night. 7
4 Carl Unstoppable up forward. Kicked 5.6, should have booted at least eight. 8
5 Coll Chocolates to boiled lollies. Couldn’t get near it as the main man. 1
6 Bris Dramatic day. Started on fire, faded out of the game and then got injured. 6
7 WCE Plenty of movement to worry Glass early. Always presented well. 6
8 Rich Kept presenting and marking strongly. 6
9 GWS Proved far too strong and mobile for the GWS defenders. 7
10 Melb Kicked terribly and it was costly to his team. 2
11 Syd Could not get a foothold in the game. 2
13 Frem Had a big second term which included two goals. Important player. 6
14 WB Ankle problem early after two goals. Subbed off in third term. 3
17 Geel Looked good early then treated for hamstring. 4
20 NM Started OK but then contained. 4
21 Carl Kicked two first-half goals but was starved of quality opportunities all day. 4
