2016 Digest:   Only one senior game last year. Has been unable to complete full skills sessions in pre-season due to a couple of niggles, but is now right to go. Ruck spots are up for grabs.

2016 NAB Cup:   Knee issue meant he didn’t get onto the park until last week in a NEAFL game.

2016 Season

Played for : Sydney Swans

1   Played in NEAFL trial against UWS Giants.  
2   Senior emergency.  
3 NEAFL Took the bulk of the rucking duties. No impact at ground level, but 28 hit-outs.
4 NEAFL Injured lower leg in the second term and ended day on crutches.

7 NEAFL Played solely forward and was OK but didn’t star.
8 NEAFL Shared ruck duties and pressed forward to be a thorn in the Demons’ side. Two goals.
9 NEAFL Bye.
10 NEAFL 24 hit-outs but minimal impact when the ball hit the deck.
11   Didn’t play for Sydney reserves.  
12 NEAFL Got injured early and took no further part.
13 NEAFL Spent more time in attack than the ruck and kicked two goals.
14 NEAFL Bye.
15 NEAFL Day cut short by an ankle injury.
16   Ankle.  
17 NEAFL Quiet game on return in huge victory over Gold Coast.
18   Didn’t play for Sydney reserves.  
19 NEAFL Bye.
20 NEAFL Ruck work was impressive in huge victory over Brisbane.
21 NEAFL Slow start then copped a heavy knock and was hampered. Brave effort.
22 NEAFL Massive game in the ruck (38 hit-outs) and four of his seven marks were contested.
23 NEAFL Bye.
QF VFL Beaten in the end by Simpson in ruck. Just five touches, but 31 hit-outs.

2015 Season

Played for : Sydney Swans

2   Senior emergency.  
3 NEAFL Formed part of three-headed ruck rotation. Just went.
4 NEAFL Shared ruck duties but wasn’t a big factor.
5 NEAFL Spent time in ruck and attack. OK without being great.
6 NEAFL 20 hitouts but just seven touches around ground.
7 NEAFL 24 hitouts but did some good things at ground level.
8 NEAFL Bye.
9 NEAFL Combined to dominate the ruck and took some good marks.
10 NEAFL Good battle with Smith in ruck. 25 hitouts.
11 NEAFL Rucked and went forward. Did some good things.
12 NEAFL Bye.
13 Rich Just seven hitouts, eight possessions and four frees against. Not the answer. 2
14 NEAFL OK early in ruck contests then off with shoulder injury.
15   Shoulder.  
16 NEAFL Got the better of the ruck duel with did little else.
17 NEAFL Got hands to ball at stoppages but generally went nowhere.

20 NEAFL Did most of the ruck duties. 24 hitouts opposed to Smith.
21 NEAFL Even duel in ruck with Downie. 31 hitouts.
22 NEAFL Competed well in the ruck and was important late.
23 NEAFL OK in ruck but more would have been expected.

2014 Season

Played for : Sydney Swans

1 PM Spent much of his time forward before being concussed.
2 Coll Very quiet early, he crashed some packs and had 20 hit-outs on Swans debut. 4
3 Adel Played in tandem with Pyke in ruck and won 18 hit-outs. 6
4 NM Provided a contest at times, but had little impact; subbed out. 4
5 Frem Tried hard in his battles with Sandilands, laying six tackles. 4
6 Melb Kicked first goal of his career… from the goal square. 3
7 Bris Had an odd night. At times he fumbled the ball, but Ok in the end. 5
8 Haw Battled manfully against Hawk duo but tired as game wore on. Two kicks. 4
9 Ess Got the better of Bellchambers and flew for his marks. Kicked a great long goal. 5
11 Geel Fact team won clearance count by 20 suggests he was superb. Two goals. 7
12 GCS Smith had him covered in the ruck but showed great desperation at ground level. 5
13 Port Beaten by Lobbe in the ruck and was clumsy at times giving away frees. 4
14 Rich Had some awkward moments against his old club. 3

2013 Season

Played for : Richmond

1 PM Not at his best in the ruck but crashed the packs.
2 VFL Did some nice things but was quite for long periods.
3 VFL Eclipsed by Wood in the ruck. Disappointing.
4 VFL Good in the ruck but gave little around the ground.
5 VFL Took a few good marks but was unsighted for long periods.
6 VFL Played forward. OK but needs to do more.
7 VFL Bye.
8 VFL Battled hard on his own in the ruck. Overmatched.
9 VFL Had a go but failed to get into the game to any degree.
10 VFL Did well in the ruck with 20 hit-outs. Had an impact.
11 VFL Bye.
12 VFL Combined with Stephenson to give Coburg edge in ruck.
13 VFL One of his better games this year. Competed well all day.
14 VFL Rucked against West and tried hard but had his colors lowered.
15 VFL Pretty good in the ruck, but Frankston won the stoppages.

17   Didn’t play for Coburg.  
18 VFL Competed hard in the ruck against Warnock. OK.
19 VFL Carried the main ruck duties and starred with 60 hitouts.
20 VFL Controlled the ruck against the Gold to give Tigers first use.
21 VFL Shared ruck duties with Stephenson and was just fair.
22 VFL Had a rough day. Didn’t have much go his way.

2012 Season

Played for : Richmond

1 VFL Worked around the ground well. Ruck work just fair.
2 VFL Rucked and rested forward where he looked dangerous.
4 VFL Marked well at times playing forward.
5 VFL Kicked a goal playing mostly up forward. Fair.
6 VFL OK in his time in the ruck but struggled forward.
8 VFL Presented well up forward and took a few strong marks.
11 VFL Did OK on Gumbleton down back. Did little going forward.
12 VFL Showed some versatility by playing in defence. OK.
13 VFL Defended well when needed.
14 VFL Did well down back again. May have found his niche.
15 Melb Competitive beast on debut. Ended game with claret on his jumper. 3
16 GCS Just seven touches playing key position. 3
17 VFL OK on return to VFL after being dropped.
18 VFL Kicked a goal and worked well as a key position player.
19 VFL Barely sighted and had no impact.
20 VFL Struggled up forward until a move back got him involved.
21 VFL Not his best game. Conditions were tough though.
