2017 Digest:   The squad’s best runner who also has a nice left boot and gets himself involved in the play. Reckon he’s a Round 1 starter.

2017 Season

1	WB	Very good early and earned 26 touches in a high-disposal game. Making a spot his own.	5
2	Rich	Picked up Edwards, who gave him grief early, but fought well and often in the chain running it out of defence.	5
3	Syd	Ball magnet early with 19 first-half touches, and ended with 27. Always available to provide a link in midfield.	8
4		Ill.
5	Ess	Playing the wingman’s link role and flashed in and out. Looks like a 100-gamer for the Pies.	4
6	Geel	Good early then drifted out of the contest to a degree. Highlight was a goal and five inside-50s to help keep wheels turning.	5
7	Carl	Came off the bench for 12 disposals and a few tackles but wrong-footed too often.	3
8	GWS	Ran a wing and picked up possessions although often under pressure	5
9	Haw	Off the interchange into the second midfield rotation. No influence but rose to the occasion in final term.	4
10	Bris	Struggled to find the footy early but then got going off a wing. Got a good ability to link up when Pies rolling forward.	6
11	Frem	Kicked one goal from 22 disposals. Busy.	6
12	Melb	One goal and four inside-50s but certainly didn’t have a big impact from a total of 18 disposals. Did use ball with care when he got it.	5

14	Port	Busy effort again around the ball but rarely able to hurt the Power forward of centre. Three clearances and six tackles.	5
15	Haw	Ran hard and got involved but panicked at times and lacked composure. Needs to work on taking first option.	4

17	VFL	Played between the flanks and had 17 touches at just 58.8 per cent. Floated in and out of the game.	–
18	VFL	Collingwood's best with a massive 40 disposal day. Played half forward and pushed into the midfield.	–
19	Adel	Hardly sighted except for three tackles and one inside-50.	3
20	NM	Started slowly but really stepped it up as the game went on.	6
21	Port	Pushed forward for a goal in the second term and won his fair share of footy.	6
22	Geel	Wingman wins a lot of the ball in space but doesn’t always get full tote odds from them. Gained team-high 524 metres.	6
23	Melb	Good contributor on the outside and kicked a ripper set shot from the boundary. Ended with two majors.	6

2016 Season

1		Played in VFL trial against Coburg.
2		Played in VFL trial against Geelong.
3	VFL	Did well in first VFL outing with 21 possessions. Has a good left boot.	–
4	VFL	Couldn’t quiet get into the game at half forward on across the middle.	–
5	VFL	Unable to get much going on the outside.	–
6	VFL	Chimed in with three important goals in nail-biting win. Great outing.	–
7	VFL	In and out of the game. Good with ball in hand but didn’t get it enough.	–
8		Senior emergency.
9	VFL	Good contributor with 20 possessions and seven tackles in tight win.	–

11	VFL	Superb game after starting on a wing with 33 possessions in upset win.	–
12	Melb	Youngster did ok given scoreline. Laid a couple of nice tackles. Deserves another chance.	4
