2 NEAFL Battled manfully down back as an undersized key defender. Not the worst.
3 NEAFL 19 possessions and four inside-50s to go with a goal in big win.
4 NEAFL Won plenty of the ball in defence with 32 touches and seven rebounds.

11 NEAFL Consistently drove the ball into attack to put Sharks defence under pressure.

15 NEAFL Controlled the back half in big win. 25 touches, 10 marks and seven rebounds.
16 Syd Waited a year to bring up his 100th senior game, it wasn't worth the wait. Well beaten by Jack. 3
17 Coll Looked uncomfortable with Fasolo match up early. Switched to Reid when May went off and things didn't get better. 2
18 WB A shade of the player we saw in his first few seasons. Struggled down back. 4
19 NEAFL Best of the AFL-listed Suns. Defender had 32 disposals at 81.2 percent, eight marks and six rebound 50s.
20 Frem Lots of metres gained as he endeavored to kick long. 5
21 Bris Just a shadow of himself. Lacked touch with five of his 12 kicks being ineffective. 5
22 Ess Showed a bit of his old self with 24 possessions, and made the most of his lethal left boot. 7
23 Port Before going off with an ankle injury in the second term turned over the footy with his disposals in the first term. 3

2016 Season

1 Ess Mainly used in deep defence to utilise his long kicking. 5
2 Frem Kept it simple. Drove the ball long to clear the area. 5
3 Carl Copped a broken nose in opening stanza and did not return. 0

5 NM Took on much taller opponents and stuck to the task. 5
6 Geel Badly rolled ankle late in first term and unable to return. 1

11 NEAFL Had 24 touches in first game back and kicked the ball with depth in wet.
12 Rich Steadily finding his feet despite Martin beating him in a couple of one-on-ones. 5
14 Haw Given task on Sicily but coughed up three goals. Defending still needs work. 3

19 NEAFL Went well until hurting groin in last quarter and sat out rest of game.

2015 Season

Played for : Gold Coast

1 Melb Went forward at one point in third term after battling in defence. 4
2 NEAFL Used it better than previous week. 22 touches.
3 Geel Struggled in the first half but did lift later. Took a brilliant courageous mark. 5
4 GWS Just eight touches and given run around by 6’5 opponent. 3
5 Bris Defensive efforts would please the coach—10 tackles. 5
6 NEAFL Solid outing after club suspension. 18 touches, one goal.
7 WCE Careless when he had the ball. Didn’t play the percentages. 4
8 Coll Defensive efforts were pleasing and rebound was useful. 4
9 Haw Matched on talls early then to Mitchell in third term. Didn’t do much. 3
10 Syd Another who looked well down on confidence. Lethal left foot missing. 3
11 Frem Huge defensive effort on Pavlich, who he kept goalless. 6
13 Carl Had to go to Henderson when Dixon went off. OK in that role but few touches. 5
14 NM Disciplined against a variety of opponents and showed some urgency. 4
15 WB Moved to Stringer and was burnt a few times we allowing him room to operate. 5
16 GWS Solid rebound from defence, but opponent booted some goals. 4
17 Adel Great reader of the play at half back. 6

19 Bris Spend time minding Bewick to effect, but just eight touches. 4

2014 Season

1 Rich Used as the set-up man off half back but didn’t have a huge night. 4
2 Frem One of the better performed Suns. 6
3 Bris Looked shaky when left one out in defence but provided good drive from defence. 5
4 Haw Unleashed some nice kicks and far from the worst. 5
5 Melb Great run and rebound from half back and defended well when called on. 7
6 GWS Forced to take on much bigger opponents and held his own. 6
7 NM Didn’t put up big numbers but fought hard against bigger opponents and gave drive. 6
9 StK Had a role on Schneider and did a good job curtailing him. 6
10 WB Manned up by Murphy and wasn’t able to generate his normal attacking thrusts. 4
11 Adel Subbed out of the game with a shoulder injury. 4
12 Syd Found Reid too tall at times and wasn’t able to provide slingshot from defence. 5
13 WCE Useful game sending long kicks out of backline. 5
14 Geel Booming left foot got used enough to hurt the Cats. Struggled on Kersten early. 6
15 Haw Tried to launch attacks from down back but they kept coming back his way. 5
16 Coll Pinged a hamstring late in the contest after a reasonable game. 5

19 StK Good battle with Bruce and created moves despite Bruce’s three goals. 6
20 Carl 10 disposal first term but finished with only 15. Hurt in a third-term collision. 5
21 Port Excelled down back as a spare man and continually drove the ball forward. 7
22 Ess Left foot was proving a weapon but injured in third term and subbed out. 5

2013 Season

Played for : Gold Coast

1 NEAFL Still working back to full match fitness. Got through.
2 NEAFL Gave good midfield drive, working back to full fitness.
3 NEAFL Among Suns’ best, nearing a senior recall.
4 NEAFL Outstanding. A near-certainty for a senior recall.
5 GWS Picked up plenty of the ball but sometimes too relaxed in usage. 6
6 Frem His long kicks out of defence were good, but lost his radar in attack. 4
7 Melb Gave great drive off half back and through middle. Nice long goal. 6
8 WB Got plenty of the footy in defence but needs to be wary of his opponent. 5
9 Haw Thumping kicks from defence a feature. 6
10 Geel Used across half back and able to use his left foot often enough. 7
11 NM Providing a reliable exit from defence and is hitting targets when spare man. 8
12 Ess Davey paid him close attention but was still able to work free enough. 6
14 Adel Has established himself in defence and his left foot is penetrating on rebound. 7
15 Bris Did well playing out of position as a third tall in defence. 7
16 Rich Proved a stumbling block for Tigers and used the ball fairly well in the wind. 7
17 Coll Tagged by Macaffer, but still managed to be damaging. 7
18 Carl Opposition isolated him on taller opponents to good effect to limit his influence. 4
19 WCE Played deep in defence on Hill and had his hands full at times. 5
20 Melb Fair first half then tapered. 5
21 Port Outpointed by Wingard when the game was in the balance. 5
22 StK Booming left foot a joy to watch and played deep in defence. 6
23 GWS Polished display from half back to finish the year. 6

2012 Season

1 NEAFL Made a successful return with two goals.
2 StK Injected late in third term and grabbed six disposals. 1
3 Ess Looked to barrel the ball long at every opportunity. 4
4 Bris Just eight touches til last change. Below his standards. 4
5 NM Used the ball well out of defence but only 16 disposals. 5
6 Frem Needs to use his strength (booming left foot) more often. 4
7 GWS His left foot is such a weapon, and put to good use as he had plenty of space. 6
8 NEAFL Won plenty of the footy but inconsistent with kicking.
10 Coll Used his raking left foot when he could and certainly not the worst. 6
11 StK Fair game without being dominant. 4
12 NM Looks a shadow of last years player. No confidence in his lethal left foot. 3
14 WCE Wasn’t damaging on the big ground. 4
15 Geel Pierced Cats early for two goals. Petered out after going into defence later. 5
16 Rich Best game of the season with 26 touches. Important late. 7
17 Bris Starting to use his booming left foot to teams advantage. 6
18 Syd Wasteful with his possessions. 4
19 Melb Sylvia used him as step ladder at one point. Caused no real concern to Dees. 4
20 GWS Missed an easy shot at goal, but was generally OK. 5
21 NEAFL Down after being dropped for missing training.
22 Carl Acquitted himself well after a weeks internal suspension. 5
23 Adel His kicking is sublime and a great asset to this up and coming team. 6
