2016 Digest:   Had just one senior appearance again in 2015, but spent the rest of the year as a defender in the NEAFL. Expected to play more senior footy this year.

2016 NAB Cup:   Went all right in defence in Port Adelaide then minimal on-field time Greater Western Sydney.

2016 Season

Played for : Sydney Swans

1   Played in NEAFL trial against UWS Giants.  
2 NEAFL Did his job well enough in the back half.
3 NEAFL Battled a bit down back against resting ruckmen. Not his best outing.
4 NEAFL Did his bit down back but wasn’t under much pressure in second half.
5 NEAFL Didn’t provide much offence, but worked hard to negate Sharks’ forwards.
6 NEAFL One of the Swans best down back. Gave Lions forwards nothing.
7 NEAFL Wasn’t a big factor down back but no glaring errors.
8 NEAFL Controlled the back half without much fuss or fanfare.
9 NEAFL Bye.
10 NEAFL Went forward this week and kicked four goals. A new role perhaps?
11 NEAFL Played in attack again and relished it with six goals.
12   Didn’t play for Sydney reserves.  
13 NEAFL Moved well in front half again and chimed in with two goals.

15 NEAFL Made most of chances to be Swans’ leading goalkicking with 3.2.
16 NEAFL Presented up very well to take 11 marks and ended with three goals.
17 NEAFL Clinical display – 13 marks, eight inside-50s and 8.2.
18 Carl Lively in forward half in first game of season. Finished with 2.1 and laid five tackles. 5
19 Frem Contributed with two goals. 5
20 Port Booted two goals to play a handy role in attack. Good foil for Franklin. 6
21 StK Opening goal a good start to a three-goal effort. Worked hard in attack. 6
22 NM Presented well in forward half, taking seven marks (two contested). 5
23 Rich Did his bit in forward half. Led well to take eight marks and kicked a great late goal. 5
QF GWS Nervous early shot starting in attack opposed to Tomlinson/Haynes. Not his best. 4
SF Adel Got in on early goal scoring with two majors. Good movement at times in front half. 6
PF Geel Some fumbles early in attack but ended up playing a useful part. 5
GF WB Couldn’t get into game at all. Four marks, no goals and one inside-50. 3

2015 Season

2 NEAFL Kicked a goal and worked hard on the day.
3 NEAFL Had a rough day down back kicking the ball.
4 NEAFL Quiet game in defence.
5 NEAFL Competed strongly down back. OK.
6   Rested.  
7 NEAFL Wasn’t overly extended down back but did his job.
8 NEAFL Bye.
9 NEAFL Held Hammelmann to one goal but supply was poor.
10 NEAFL Competed hard down back opposed to Gold Coast talls.
11 NEAFL Kept Eastlake forwards in check in the heart of defence.
12 NEAFL Bye.
13 NEAFL Among the Swans’ better players and even kicked a goal.
14 NEAFL Used everywhere – back, forward and ruck. Outmatched.
15 NEAFL Steady down back with four rebounds and good spoiling.
16 NEAFL Didn’t have much to do down back but was solid.
17 WCE Late replacement for Franklin. Led a merry dance by Darling in first half. 3

5 NEAFL Good dash from defence, picked up 21 disposals.
6 NEAFL Solid if not spectacular.

9 NEAFL Solid as usual at full back.

11 NEAFL Played on Ewing early and went OK.

1 NEAFL Stood up well under pressure down in defence.
2 NEAFL Beaten by Hall in defence but never gave in.
3   Injured.  
4 NEAFL OK defensively but didn’t provide much going forward.

6 NEAFL Outstanding down back until going down injured.
7 NEAFL Battled hard and took some strong marks. Nice effort.
8 NEAFL Rarely beaten down back. Developing really nicely.
9 NEAFL Marshalled he troops perfectly down back. Swans best.
10 NEAFL Continues to impress. Played down back and gave good drive.
11 NEAFL Found the going tough but stuck to his task admirably.

13 NEAFL Started down back, then thrown into the ruck. Tried hard.
14 Carl Late inclusion for Morton and started as sub on debut. A few touches up forward. 1
